Our editorial approach
We focus on observable behavior, not diagnosing people from a story. Fiction is labeled. Firsthand accounts will be edited with contributor approval, anonymized, and presented as one person’s perspective.
About the questionnaire
Our original 20-question hybrid combines fictional situations with adapted public-domain IPIP items. Published NPI research informs the concepts; we do not administer the NPI-16. Sources and our custom scoring are explained with the results. This hybrid has not been scientifically validated and does not diagnose a personality disorder.

The hybrid gives each question up to 3 points. Recognition, entitlement and defensiveness add to the total; consideration of others is reversed for the combined score. The total is divided by 60 and multiplied by 10. These are custom points, not population percentiles or clinical cutoffs. Separate scenarios use a different rubric and exclude perspective-taking from their combined meter, so their scores are not directly comparable to the hybrid.
